About

The night side of perimenopause and menopause: hot flashes, night sweats and 3am waking, with every health fact linked to its source.

What we do

Midlife Nights writes about the night side of perimenopause and menopause: hot flashes that come after dark, night sweats, trouble falling asleep and waking at 3am. It is for women from their late thirties into their sixties who want a clear answer with the sources in view, without reading ten pages to find it.

Each article takes one question, answers it in the first lines, and links the NHS, National Institute on Aging, ACOG or other page every health fact came from. Topic pages gather the articles by subject, starting with hot flashes at night and night sweats.

How we work

We write from sources a reader can check and that we opened ourselves (ACOG, the NHS, NIH and MedlinePlus, the CDC, The Menopause Society, NICE, peer-reviewed studies), link them where each fact is used, give no treatment advice, and correct what we get wrong.

Every page says where its information comes from and links to it, so you can check it yourself. The full rules are in our editorial policy.

What you will not find here

Invented experts, reviews written to order, or advice that should come from a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant. When a subject needs a professional, we say so and point to one.

How we are funded

There are no affiliate links, adverts or paid placements on Midlife Nights. The details are on how we make money.
